The Challenge For Education

Educators need to know what works, and what curricula, policies, or strategies are simply a waste of time and money. At the same time, teachers are too overworked and too underpaid to be expected to become education researchers as well in their spare time. While in other fields it may be illegal to sell ineffective interventions (e.g. medicine) in education, it is common practice.

Traditionally, a single, full-length meta-analysis takes roughly around 3 years to complete, with a total cost of 1-2 million dollars. Teachers need an accurate, affordable tool to quickly determine if a strategy, program, or policy is effective or not.

A Better, Faster Solution

MER is built to run meta-analyses on any research question an educator might have. We accomplished this by integrating the procedures for a meta-analysis into the backend code, thus converting it into a incredibly efficient senior education researcher. MER tracks and documents the number of students collected, screened out, and ultimately included in the final analysis, as well as all relevant data extracted and the resulting model. For practical applications, MER summarizes the outcomes of the meta-analysis in a brief paragraph. However, for users interested in the technical processes, MER offers a deeper dive into the methods and results.

MER performs a reliable meta-analysis in roughly 3 to 5 minutes.
